Luis Liz Marzán, scientific director of the Centre for Cooperative Research in Biomaterials - CIC biomaGUNE, Ikerbasque professor and principal investigator at the Centre for Biomedical Research Network, Bioengineering, Biomaterials and Nanomedicine (CIBER-BBN), will receive today the Lilly Foundation Award for Biomedical Research 2021 in the category of preclinical research. With him, Professor Carlos Simón Vallés, coordinator of the INCLIVA Reproductive Medicine Research Group, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Valencia and founder of Igenomix, will receive the award in the clinical research category. These awards, which recognise the scientific trajectory of outstanding research that contributes to the development of biomedicine, will be presented this afternoon at a ceremony presided over by the Minister of Science and Innovation, Pedro Duque.
